The following information is written on the back of a painting I possess:

"This picture was painted by Edgar Keller - 1928. It was painted for Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Lee. The Kellers made their home at the Giant (or Grant) Redwood Camp at that time, while Mr. Keller painted many beautiful scenes of the Redwoods and the beaches. He also prepared a model of the California Bear to be used as bridge heads on the Dr.(?) Douglas bridge. This however was not accepted though the bear was much more animated and beautiful than the one chosen at Sacramento and many people felt that our Del Norte artist should have had the honor.
